"take your coins off of the exchanges" - there is no coins on exchanges. "take your coins into cold storage" - you cannot move coins to cold storage. "move your coins to a new wallet" - you cannot move coins to wallets. "tariff on importing coins" - you cannot import coins. "my wallet got hacked and emptied" - it always has been empty.

That's one thing about Bitcoin, the terminology has been crap since day one.
