Jeder, der nicht in Reichtum geboren wurde, muss das “Geldproblem” lösen.

Und je früher man es löst, desto schneller kann man das Leben genießen.

Anstatt Zeit damit zu verbringen, 10-K Berichte zu lesen, sich bis zum Hals zu verschulden bei physischen Gebäuden und ihre Portfolios zu diversifizieren…

Haben Bitcoin-Nutzer die offensichtliche Logik erkannt, ihren Wert in dem einzigen endlichen, neutralen Vermögenswert der Welt zu speichern.

Und sie hatten den Mut, ihrer Vernunft auch angesichts unmenschlicher Volatilität zu vertrauen.

Die meisten von uns sind nicht wegen der Technik dabei.

Wir sind wegen der Freiheit dabei.

Der Freiheit, mehr Zeit mit unseren Freunden und unserer Familie zu verbringen.

Der Freiheit, in einem Dorf am Meer aufzuwachen, einen guten Espresso zu genießen und uns mit Arbeit zu beschäftigen, die uns wirklich interessiert.

Years ago, I read a book that I still think about regularly. Unfortunately, I had forgotten its title and couldn't find it again despite an intensive search. Enter grok. Grok found it for me with two searches. The book is called "Holy Fire" and was written by Bruce Sterling.

When I read it back then, I wasn't a Bitcoiner yet. But since that changed, I've been reminded of one aspect of this book more often. It's set in a medium-term future on Earth, where there are very wealthy elderly people. However, the majority of the population lives on money given to them so they can satisfy basic needs. The important distinction is that there are two different types of money: the valuable money that the elderly, wealthy people possess. And then the money that is given to the population to buy things like rent, food and clothing. But with this inferior money you can't, for example acquire land, buildings or other capital.

Through my journey down the Bitcoin path, I can easily imagine all of this as a possible, realistic future.

Imagine Greenland being a part of USA instead of Denmark. Everything for the average man/woman in Greenland will just be worse. Nomore government payed healthcare, education, and subsidies for the people who has less.

It makes zero sense for the people of Greenland voting for that outcome.
