This morning I found an almost over-ripe plum on our tree. It was delicious! Juicy and sweet and the best plum I’ve ever had. 😍

This year had so many great and challenging things. Moving interstate, showing up mindfully in my relationship, leaving a high paced job, settling down into homesteading full time and moving more slowly through my days. As I’m slowing down I’m finding how much more life I have time for. Feeling gratitude and hope for the year to come 🧡

I’m a competitive person so I don’t do resolutions, I do challenges.
Last year I went without drinking alcohol and learned a lot about myself; this year I went without buying new clothes and unexpectedly learned even more about myself through the process. I’m looking for a challenge for next year that will continue this process.
What are you challenging yourself to in 2025?

We drove all the way into town to hit up a servo for an overpriced calippo. Feels like winning.

Getting off the town water supply has made a big difference for my overall health. Rainwater is a pretty nifty health hack.

What if the system isn’t broken. Far more concerning is that it’s functioning just as it should. I’m opting out.

Where once we could ask the butcher to vouch for how an animal was raised, now we buy anonymous meat that is already chopped up, deboned and wrapped in plastic. Food is cheap but at what cost.

According to a 19th century legend, the Truth and the Lie meet one day. The Lie says to the Truth: “It’s a marvellous day today”! The Truth looks up to the skies and sighs, for the day was really beautiful.
They spend a lot of time together, ultimately arriving beside a well. The Lie tells the Truth: “The water is very nice, let’s take a bath together!” The Truth, once again suspicious, tests the water and discovers that it indeed is very nice.
They undress and start bathing. Suddenly, the Lie comes out of the water, puts on the clothes of the Truth and runs away. The furious Truth comes out of the well and runs everywhere to find the Lie and to get her clothes back. The World, seeing the Truth naked, turns its gaze away, with contempt and rage.
The poor Truth returns to the well and disappears forever, hiding therein, its shame. Since then, the Lie travels around the world, dressed as the Truth, satisfying the needs of society, because, the World, in any case, harbours no wish at all to meet the naked Truth.

Level up your bitcoin meet ups!!
This weekend a bunch of Aussie Bitcoiners got together to talk about all things bitcoin. We camped, hiked to a waterfall, cooked over an open fire, swam in the river and only lost one vehicle to an epic river crossing which was successfully salvaged with the help of a big blue tractor. IRL bitcoiners are the best.
Where are you getting together to talk Bitcoin??
