“It’s zero risk”
Like how fucking stupid are you actually, because you can’t really believe that there is something that is zero risk.

I started road biking again after taking like 4 years off. I forgot how good it feels just to ride like 20+ miles somewhere and just be engrossed in my body and the experience. I get into a kind of meditative state when I’m doing it—I forgot about it and I’ve missed it.

Confession:
For the first 4 years I was involved with bitcoin, I thought it was the meme-pool, not mem.
The memepool is what processes retarded transactions; not Bitcoin.

More and more I am noticing the tension of opposites across almost the whole spectrum. It’s like building towards a zeitgeist where before a hegelian synthesis can occur, the thesis and antithesis need to reach their maximum absurdity to pronounce their own death to end the interregnum before a new truth is produced.

I hate that so often I will get everything right and actually get myself into bed at the right time, and I’ll be pretty tired, but my brain is like:
“Oh yeah? You want a good night of sleep to wake up refreshed and to take on a big day of responsibility and getting shit done tomorrow?
How about instead I fuck you over by having you loop over and over on stupid shit from throughout the that doesn’t really matter and just causes you anxiety? Would you like to spend the next 3 hours thinking about that?
Go ahead and try to do meditative exercises, or counting sheep, doesn’t matter, you won’t go to sleep because I decided tonight is one of those nights that I am just going to totally fuck up your day tomorrow for no reason other than that I can. Worse part is, there is no one to blame but yourself because I am you!”
Sometimes it be like that.

I’m so happy that Nostr exist so I have some kind of social media that isn’t a completely unhinged brainwashing clickbait experience.
Everyday the experience on the other apps gets more and more extreme, deranged, and frankly scary.

Dating apps are like the concentration camps of love. Everyone is forced into a process of selection based upon opaque criteria of ‘worthiness’ that debases and devalues the humanness of the other. Just a few moments of appraisal based upon a superficial projection that is disconnected from any of the dynamism of what love is; it is a synthetic process where love goes to ‘work for freedom’ into its death. It’s where romance goes to die, and becomes a mythology of longing for all…
So it’s going pretty well.

Life just kinda of gets progressively more difficult—dealing with death and hardship, difficult traumas and life events, and eventually an ailing body and your own demise. It’s not to say there are not wonderful events and experiences in there, but it generally is an uphill battle. The good news is that as we gain experience through life we generally become more equipped to deal with the onslaught of difficulties and more capable of skillful navigating them; but it really never gets easier, you just become more experienced in dealing with the difficulties.

The idea of a ‘deep bear market’ with bitcoin in the $80k range is both laughable and ridiculous.
Like zoom out and see what is being built.
Never has there been a greater opportunity to build substantial and meaningful contributions on top of the most important economic and financial innovation created since double entry accounting itself. There are mountains of capital to be created for those that are willing to put in the hard work and take the risk on building on top of what they believe in.

WTF are we doing with storing huge amount of money on some crappy $150 piece of plastic? Is this really the best we can do?

I’ve been trying to actively seek out the arguments against bitcoin again lately, and sadly, I am just seeing all of the same BS rehashed over and over.
It’s sad that these people won’t just bend the knee, eat the crow pie, and admit they were wrong and that bitcoin changes everything.
This is the real existential angst of what Bitcoin does and is, and it demands that you go through the deepest levels of philosophy and first principals thinking to accomplish it, of which many are unwilling to do; which is why they are either no-coiners or shitcoiners.

The only lack Nostr really has imho are at key times like this where bitcoiners are absolutely dunking on the shitcoiners.

I am really starting to understand it’s not so much that people are actually stupid, but that they have been so thoroughly brainwashed and conditioned that the form of callowness in which they exist overrides all forms of thought so that the very idea of taking courageous action is fundamentally impossible.
It’s quite sad really.

Having worked at and invested in number of ‘bitcoin’ companies, the great problem you will always deal with is fiat people, fiat policies, and fiat politics. While this isn’t a problem when the company is small, it becomes more acute with growth for various reasons until it pretty much becomes unbearable. Then it becomes a fiat company that just happens to do bitcoin stuff, and usually sacrifices the real ethos and values that started the company in the first place.
The only real solution is to build totally bitcoin-only (as in no touching fiat) ‘companies’—which there are very few, and as it becomes more successful, the harder it is to keep it that way.
The good news is that soon there will be more of these ‘companies’ if we can really call them that. Over the next epoch, these will provide some of the greatest opportunities (and risks) to build extraordinary new products and services for the whole world and will truly be ‘bitcoin-only’ services that will likely be real pieces of infrastructure of the future internet. These will also provide the greatest investment opportunities ever, as they will be ‘forever’ and ‘everywhere’ companies.
