First attempt at making my own beef bone broth. I had been wanting to try this for a while but wasn’t keen on leaving a pot on the gas stove for 24-48 hours. I started looking into the option of using a slow cooker but then discovered that it was also possible to make a successful broth in a pressure cooker. There seems to be some debate around whether some nutrients are lost using this method due to the higher temperatures or if it actually preserves nutrients due to the shorter cooking time, but either way it is probably better than a lot of store bought options.
This was the result of 4 hours cooking a mix of grass fed beef bones in the pressure cooker. It tastes pretty good and after refrigeration it came out very thick and gelatinous. Overall I’m happy with this for a first attempt.
