“100% electric stairs for a green future”
Yeah... that jet engine in the background probably puts out more CO2 in a minute than gasoline powered air stairs use in a year.

My nostr dudes, what would you say is the closest male equivalent to the Barbie movie? Something that explains a unspoken but nearly universal experience among your gender? #asknostr

Free covid testing center at Washington Dulles airport, in 2025, paid for by the US government.
DOGE recently cut funding for research that was finding the estimated 35,000 children that Russia has abducted. This would have been a much more useful thing to cut...
Also, high chance that Trump wanted that research cut specifically to make it easier to sell "peace" with Russia. It's easier to sell "peace" with people who aren't insane psychopaths that abduct children by the tens of thousands to further the aim of genocide. There's probably something like 100,000+ Russians directly involved in that crime who should all be executed.

Pro-tip: if you want to prove that Pete Hegseth actually leaked you details of US strikes on Yemen hours ahead of time – rather than you just faking a few screenshots – timestamp those screenshots with OpenTimestamps.

If anybody here is passionate about free speech and wants to donate to a ruthlessly non-partisan organization doing incredible work on it, check out FIRE. And yes, they take Bitcoin. #freespeech #bitcoin #nonprofit https://www.thefire.org/donate/more-ways-to-donate

Neat: NYU university was apparently hacked, with (claimed) graphs of admission data by race posted. If these are correct DEI is very much in effect.

Kavkazskaya oil pumping station in Kuban, Russia. This facility transfers oil by rail into pipelines for export.
Lots of other Russian infrastructure was hit in the past few days too. But this is the best video to come out recently.

Sometimes my client has to go "find" a note from a random relay, often because my relay got the "re-tweet"/reply but not the original. There's no reason a relay should be needed for this operation, a DHT like a magnet link or IPFS would work fine. I assume event IDs aren't hashes, but given that they are signed, you have a similar way to verify authenticity of the note.

You can just cure diseases. By running a free open source computer program in the background on your computer. It won't slow things down because it only runs when the machine is idle. No doctorate required. Some projects listed here, all using the open source BOINC network (you can run multiple at once). It was the world's largest distributed supercomputer before Bitcoin came along. #science #cancer #covid

What is the closest to "negative zap" or "downvote" in nostr? Are there any clients, for example, that hide content once it gets enough "thumbs down" reacts or similar from your WoT? These spammers are getting out of hand #asknostr

Graph of Canada's population vs worker productivity from FT.
Unsurprisingly, if you rapidly expand your population by importing millions of third worlders, per-worker productivity will go down.
The fact is we're not all equal. Canada's population is significantly smarter than the world average. Importing the rest of the world en-mass will inevitably degrade that advantage.
Making IQ tests a requirement for immigration would be a good start.

Tell your creator friends and friends in non-profit organizations: every two months, Nostr users send 4.5 mil zaps for $1.9M USD value. They want a piece of this pie. It's much easier for users to donate cents or fractions of a cent regularly than larger amounts, the psychological barriers are totally different.
Iris.to is an easy client to get started with, comes with a built-in cashu wallet for receiving zaps.

Missile strike on the Tuapse oil refinery in Russia. Based on the video/sound recordings it's believed this strike was made with an extended range version of the Ukrainian built Neptune cruise missile, which normally has a 150kg warhead. Zelensky confirmed it has entered combat use, without confirming which targets.
A far more effective type of sanction than trying to apply AML/KYC to Bitcoin wallets...
