Any recommendations for onboarding newbies?
Recently I have convinced one friend to join nostr and give a it try, however he does not want to pay for any relays unless he is confident it will be actually useful for him. Unfortunately, he struggles to find interesting content (he is not in Bitcoin). Besides hashtags, what would be your recommendations?

🇸🇪 Unmetered IPv6-only 1Gbit #VPS in Stockholm, Sweden for €1.10
As an experiment, we would like to offer you truly unmetered IPv6-only VPS based upon XSIG-SE-0, XSIG-SE-1 and XSIG-SE-2 with the only change being bandwidth allocation - it is not limited!
There are only two limitations:
1. CPU is shared, continuous full utilization is forbidden (penalty is throttling to CPU FUP of 6%/13%/25% depending on tariff plan)
2. no IPv4 can be ordered
This experiment should be treated as such, therefore we will enable only monthly billing for these plans.
XSIG-SE-0
* CPU Family: Intel Xeon Silver (Skylake)
* CPU Cores: 1 (FUP 6%)
* Memory: 512 MiB
* Disk space: 6 GiB SSD
* Traffic incl. unmetered
* Uplink: 1 Gbps (shared)
* Location: 🇸🇪 Stockholm, Sweden

* CPU Cores: 1 (FUP 13%)
* Memory: 1 GiB
* Disk space: 12 GiB SSD
* Traffic incl. unmetered

Once we will introduce HDD Storage VPS, would you need some small SSD with it (for fast OS boot or for metadata)?

I’m living a low time preference life.
I didn’t understand that until I googled it, but turns out I’ve always done that and most of the normies I know don’t.
Almost all Bitcoiners do!

This is Orange Wine, look it up , it's a thing.
This should be the only type of wine consumed by Bitcoiners:

Day 3 for our frens from X
Ask not what NOSTR can do you for, ask what you can do for NOSTR.
We don’t have advertising here, nor do we have algorithms manipulating what you see. Because of this we run a circular economy based on V4V (Value for Value).
If you start to get serious about NOSTR and its potential and feel it adds value to you, then you should consider returning that value in small or larger ways depending on your situation.
This could be by “zapping” small amounts of Sats to a post you find funny or informative, or it could be by subscribing to a service such as a paid relay or file storage or an apps premium features. Or it could be by direct donation to the developer or indirectly through an organisation such as @npub10pe...n34f https://opensats.org/
Only do what you can afford and what you are comfortable with. If you are not in a position to zap Sats, then perhaps look to contribute in other ways. For example offering help to other new frens arriving on this protocol, or creating content that is interesting or informative for others.
If you have a special skill or knowledge within a specific area, perhaps share that knowledge or your life experiences with others. Apart from short form content on the many X like clients, we also have long form options for writers. Sites such as @npub1048...x3nf https://habla.news/ allow you to create articles and be paid for the content.
You could also spread your experiences about NOSTR among your online and IRL frens . They might like the concepts NOSTR follows in its freedom and uncensorable protocol. Since the revelations about the Twitter files and Facebook data sell off to Cambridge Analytica and the latest arrest in France of Telegrams CEO Pavel Durov, the need for free uncensored, un-manipulated communication has never been greater. All companies have a central point of failure.
This YouTube video by @npub1lel...kvyz gives a deep dive into the importance of uncensorable media https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aA-jiiepOrE
Lastly, if you're a developer, build, we need builders here. Look for projects that need your help, or go ahead and build in areas that are under developed or perhaps are yet to exist.
As @npub1sg6...f63m said in the video above, NOSTR is like the early days of Twitter and @npub1wmr...g240 explained that almost every feature of Twitter in the early days was built by external developers.
