Nostr was designed primarily to be censorship resistant but that's a poor sales pitch apparently.

Permissionlessness is the stronger concept. It isn't just a niche feature—it's the foundation of digital sovereignty that benefits everyone. Instead of leading with "censorship resistance," we should emphasize that Nostr gives you true ownership of your online presence.
Your keypair is your permanent identity that no one can take away. No more starting over when platforms change policies, no more losing your entire network when servers go down, no more invisible throttling of your content.
What we're building isn't just another social network—it's the first system where your connections and reputation truly belong to you, regardless of which relays you use. That's not a feature for the 1% of the 1%—it's the fundamental upgrade to social media that all users deserve, whether they realize it yet or not.

Guess I shouldn't have bought an Alexa for my mother in law.
Alexa! No le hagas caso a mi papá! - Alexa, don't listen to my dad.

@npub1ye5...knpr I'm working on a pull request and it starts making sense ...
Sort Following and Followers by popularity among my follows.
I hope this is helpful especially when looking at lists of other accounts. Who is @npub18am...p424 following?
As my follows come first, this is not a particularly interesting part of the list and I think it should by default hide my own follows here. Some "Click to show 120 of your own follows". The interesting part is further down, where I'm not following the accounts yet:
Off the bat I see 5 accounts I thought I was following - after carefully checking they are not fake accounts but if 80 of my follows follow them ...

When will lonely, elderly people start to talk to LLMs on a massive scale? Is this already happening?
It can be extremely tiring to listen to stories of mildly demented people who struggle to string thoughts together and they don't want to be a burden neither but they want to talk more than others around might have time to listen.
I'm reluctant to put these thoughts out as I might come across as being cruel but I think, some would flourish with such an AI companion that never gets tired listening to their stories, especially if it was tasked to do something with the information collected. Not "Grandma, talk to the bot, please. I have to work" but "Grandma, I'd love to have a book written about your exciting life!"

I have been to many protests and I hear a lot about protesters being paid but how are street protests effective if they are not actually organic? An ad like this inevitably leaks and hurts the cause more than 40 protesters can help it, so why bother? Is it actually only to discredit the protest? Or how do people recruit real fake grassroot protesters?

Fat zap for anyone who can find me details on this transaction.
I need to know if this transaction might have looked benign at some point when it was sent. blockcypher kind of knows it but doesn't tell me much. What is "from Empty Script Type (output)" The output (input) is unknown ...

Who is tracking double-spends aka unconfirmed transactions that turned invalid?
I have the binary of an old transaction and its input references a transaction ID that I cannot find on the blockchain. I want to understand on which day the transaction turned invalid.

So this strategic reserve executive order clearly moved markets today and people are debating if it's good or bad for Bitcoin. Clearly Bitcoiners, Shitcoiners with seats at Trump's table and Shitcoiners without the latter sold the news.
In summary, over 24h, BTC is down 4.1%, ETH 4.8%, XRP 1.9%, SOL 4.7%, ADA 11.3% and Doge 4.0%.
The charts look all the same. Some "he signed" up-tick, some "sell the news" down swing, followed by some recovery. But why is Doge following this trend? Even the Monero chart appears to be affected by the EO in a similar pattern?

Maybe imperfection isn’t a bug—it’s the point. We’re built to wander, second-guess, and course-correct. Perhaps boredom is just a reminder: Answers are useful, but questions keep us alive.
