Thoughts for statists and a reminder for libertarians:
There is a divine order to everything. Without perfect knowledge, who are we to arbitrate the use or conduct of another person's property, another person's body? In truth each of us has no right to do so, as there is no right for us to arbitrate anything outside of the Natural Law. To unilaterally determine another person's use of their body or legitimate property (of which their body is inextricably and most clearly always a part) is an intrusion, a vile usurpation. Every claim of rights to do so is a nullity in light of the Natural Law, and ought to be treated as such. I don't care about any moral arguments about "pro life" or "protecting the children" or "muh equity" or whatever. These ends, only in as much as they are legitimate, are compatible with the Natural Law. But to use means that deny the Natural Law will result in well-deserved failure. You cannot legislate the gay away. You cannot legislate the baby into existence. You cannot legislate prosperity into existence, and you cannot even legislate equal rights into being respected. If you are advocating for state-mandated conservatism or progress or reform of any kind, how about instead you shut up and focus on your family and yourself, as that is the real low hanging fruit of things you can put forward to improve society, or have a real, open, intellectually honest discussion with people who know things you don't know, which is literally everyone.
