Anything under 100 sats is basically just a like. Whatever the lowest zap you send out.
You don't feel rich or poor after a week of zapping or getting zapped (unless you're just really poor), so the sats being sent must have some other purpose: proof of power; proof of real.
Your zaps project the realness of your being into cyberspace. No matter how small or large they are.
I believe that is the most important role zaps play in the Nostr ecosystem. As payments, maybe, but its not strictly necessary to zap someone for a trade when you can pay an invoice out of band.
