Imagine you could tell your social media client in human language what kind of "algorithm" it should use to compose and rank your feed and decide what to show you and in which order.
"Show me mainly posts about Bitcoin and Art, the more technical the better. Hide posts about politics. I'm not interested in health tips or tradwife lifestyle content. Do not show me any pics of food but you can show me pics of feet. I like cats more than dogs."
Feels like this would be the ultimate user control.

Most people do not want to spend time and effort curating their own feeds. In general, people are lazy and prefer to be spoon-fed algorithmic content. These observations are quite apparent.
However, what if building your own algorithm was as simple as just telling your social app what you want to see?
Now that's a lightbulb moment. 👀

At Stakwork we run all of our open source development through a Bounty program.
This includes the development of the Sphinx.chat app on Mac, iOS, Android and Cross Platform.
The development of our Bounty Program, New LiveKit video Conferencing Suite and our Second Brain knowledge graph solution.
Currently we are seeking Kotlin developers to assist with improvements to our Android app.
Our philosophy is not to spend months in interviews but to get people up and running with Bounties.
Start work, you'll get paid for your effort and time. Then the more work you get all comes down to Proof of Work.
If you can code and meet the bounties we set, we'll keep sending work your way!

I think my most controversial opinion on #bitcoin is that we wrongly conflate Self Custody and Decentralisation of the network as the same thing.
I did try and convince people of this at Cairns Bush Bash, but didn't find a good way in.
If anyone wants to argue this it may help me sharpen my sword.
can you say a little more ?
2 different things.
- Self Custody is a personal risk adjusted preference.
- Decentralisation is a system level property that deals with the balance of power.
- As money is a network the level of decentralisation is determined by how much of the network you can trade with.
- Large custodians are bad because they capture a lot of people in 1 closed network
- Small self custody is bad from a power PoV as you have no economic weight within the network
- If the individuals only self custody and don't work together you have a coordination problem to act with others.
- if the two options are large self custody (you literally can't stop this) and individual custody then the majority of daily trade and MoE will flow into the custodial system
- trade volumes from self custody will each be insignificant (even from large holders) in where trade occurs.
- the correct answer in my view is custody at a meaningful level with local custodians aggregating funds, tx volumes, trade etc at an economically relevant level for the network (think the amount of funds you might transact as a town vs. one person - even a rich one)
- limits growth of large custodians as there are smaller competitors
- forces larger custodians to remain on open networks and standards as majority of customers are in the network no tin their node.
- balance with excessive self custody also of long term SoV and savings.
How do ‘we’ conflate the two ?
We would be a general bitcoin industry framing from my PoV that states that anything "custodial" is "centralised".
This is pretty common from my point of view, but would be glad if it turns out people don't really think this.
Yeah ok gotcha. So you’re saying it seems common that people are conflating centralization of the “network” with centralization of the sats held in custody?
Im still trying to get a handle on the core point/argument.
I think its usually leveled without that nuance.
I.e. if something is custodial it is "centralised" and worthy of no further consideration.
I would argue we can build a more decentralised and open network if we utilise many small custodians - specifically in payments infrastructure.
Many 100 - 1000 person custodians would be very robust and decentralised as a network for global payments.
The custody on the other hand would be more centralised ideally in the hands of a few hundred thousand bitcoin maxis who run/capitalise those custodians for others to benefit from.
Decentralization is a direction, not an end state.
If targeting an end state, ask, "decentralised enough for what?"
E.g. If 200 central banks were the only parties to self-custody, is it decentralised enough to avoid capture by a single state? Probably. Is it decentralised enough to separate money and state? Probably not.
What goals do we have for decentralization? Check-in with those to see how much self custody is required.
For me the goals would be to keep the network open and available without censorship.
I think I figured out the difference fairly soon in my time on Bitcoin. Decentralisation is about making the network antifragile, by hosting multiple copies of the blockchain; as a node runner I get some personal benefits around privacy of my transactions and services I run and use. But, mainly is a thing I do to be involved in this protocol and protect the info we all need.
On the other hand self custody, is 99% a selfish approach towards saving your secret and the Bitcoin attached to it… and I don’t mean selfish in a negative way.
IDK, I’m a goose. 🪿

This is a real example of a Human being being paid by an AI to perform a task in the real world for bitcoin.
I talked about this recently as Cheatcode Australia (with nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgqg4waehxw309ajkgetw9ehx7um5wghxcctwvsq3samnwvaz7tmvd9nksarwd9hxwun9d3shjtnrdakszxrhwden5te0d35kw6r5de5kuemjv4kxz7fwvdhk6qgdwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkcqgdwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkcqgawaehxw309ahx7um5wgkhyetvv9ujuatww3jhg6rj9ekk2zgpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ez6un9d3shjtn4de6x2argwghx6egfqy2hwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytndd9kx7afwd3hkcqg4waehxw309ahx7um5wghx66tvda6jumr0dsq35amnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wdaexzmn8v4cxjmrv9ejx2asprfmhxue69uhkummnw3ezummjv9hxwetsd9kxctnyv4mqzyrhwden5te0dehhxarj9emkjmn9qyg8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnhd9hx2qgjwaehxw309ahkvenrdpskjm3wwp6kyqgjwaehxw309ahkvenrdpskjm3wwp6kyqgewaehxw309ac82unpwe5kgcfwdehhxarj9ekxzmnyqyvhwumn8ghj7ur4wfshv6tyvyhxummnw3ezumrpdejqz9mhwden5te0wfjkccte9e3h2unjv4h8gtnx095sz9mhwden5te0wfjkccte9e3h2unjv4h8gtnx095sz9rhwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjmcpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq35amnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwdehhxarjvaexzurg9ehx2aqprfmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68yemjv9cxstnwv46qzxnhwden5te0wfjkccte9ehx7um5wf5kx6r9wvhx7un8qyd8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgunfvd5x2uewdaexwqgcwaehxw309aex2mrp0yh8xmn0wf6zuum0vd5kzmqprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctvqys8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtn5dpjk7unpdenk2urfd3kxzurs9e3k7mgpypmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuargv4hhyctwvajhq6tvd3shqupwvdhk6qgnwaehxw309aex2mrp09skymr99ehhyecpzdmhxue69uhhyetvv9ukzcnvv5hx7un8qqs2auxkkgfgylem580xrztp8ek5sf83s86k0vfq2feuz6y4lkhskgcg63wlj ) and I realised I've never shared examples.
The future is closer than you might expect.
I didn't write this task, we let an AI Agent go with a goal "I would like 100% test code coverage".
It uses our Sphinx Code Knowledge Graph to understand which functions don't have test coverage.
It uses a second custom Agent on Stakwork to review the current code implementation, example unit tests and previous bounties.
It figures out a cost and publishes a bounty on our public bounties website for any of hundreds of bounty hunters to complete.
The Bounty Hunters find it on http://community.sphinx.chat/bounties and ask to be assigned.
Currently I still have to click "assign".
In ~ 2 weeks the hunters will be able to assign themselves 👀
An hour later (or less) this will show up on my Kanban board as complete with the PR attached.
I review the PR, I pay the bounty.
A human just got paid for work created, specified and advertised entirely by a machine.
I just helped it out.
Within 2 weeks we expect the final human bottlenecks of self assignment and PR review to be automated to the point we can generate 100-1000s of unit and integration tests a day.
At this point we bring all the apps to 100% test coverage.
Sometimes I wonder if we should just bring every 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 , nprofile1qyf8wumn8ghj7cnfw3ehgctrdvhxzursqythwumn8ghj7cmp9ehhyctwvajhq6tvdshxgetkqyd8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnydankgmm8vfskx6ewvdhk6qgawaehxw309ahx7um5wghxkmmwd9hxwttyv4nhyctpvchxumqpzfmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ucpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgqgkwaehxw309aex2mrp0yh8qunfd4skctnwv46qqg83nzdfd4665wrtfjr32smzdjanvtqryj9jyrwf4efa0nhme2hjcyjg445u , and 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 Open Source Project up to 100% test code coverage for the lols.
