Soooo what happens when the government claims anyone who self custody their #Bitcoin is an economic terrorist and come after hodlers. The government now has an incentive to go after Bitcoiners… be careful what you wish for…
My husband has a scar from a machete strike that he got in the streets of Cairo as a teenager. And he won that fight.
His myriad intellectual and managerial achievements in the subsequent years aside, I only accept criticisms of how he leans or poses in photos from those who can present similar levels of badassary.
(I’m kind of joking, but also not really. My main point is that commenting on who leans toward who in a random photo is cringe, without knowing the context.)
@npub1s40...s6eh The proliferation of these kinds of technical cruft on every new device really bums me out. Like it requires networking, or a specialized app, or too much computerization for what should be a simple process, or AI for something that should be a "dumb" process.
* The new glasswashers at work now have so many sensors, they throw an error and stop if one item fails to dry properly.
* Wife and son bought a new perler bead machine (a glorified iron) . It requires networking an app to function.
* Trying to find a simple android image editing app just to cut and paste that DOESN'T use AI was difficult. They exist, but not easy to search for. Required someone to point out a specific old app name to find.
@npub16e7...pqcd Agreed, this kind of thing is a widespread problem. Some of the most infamous examples aren't just for fun or handy things, though; there are assistive devices that get bricked due to the "lol end of life" nonsense that inevitably comes of dependency on app support.
